Questioning & Answering
"The whole of science is nothing more than a refinement of everyday thinking." -Albert Einstein
Mereon has spawned a flurry of questions, queries that have been asked, answered, explored, and reanswered time and again by a team of international scientists -natural and social- for almost two decades. A complexly simple, dynamic, and self-sustainable process, Mereon shows how something arises from nothing to self-organize, reproduce and evolve forever.
The first scientific, peer-reviewed paper was authored by Mereon Team members, Dennis, Gray, Kauffman, Brender McNair, and Woolf. Entitled, A Framework Linking Non-Living and Living Systems: Classification of persistence, survival and evolution transitions. (Foundations of Science, Issue 14, pages 217-238, 2009.) Nick Woolf has used Mereon to map the formation of a living system beginning with the Big Bang. Google Nick to see if you can find one of the talks he gave showing how Mereon charts this energetic growth sequence to standing room only audiences at the Carnegie Institute, NASA, and the SETI Institute.
For those interested in viewing more of the geometryic and topological underpinnings of this system, send us an email requesting a copy of a more recent paper, and we will be glad to send an PDF. We look forward to hearing from you!
